New things in the Studio: October Edition
October is here and so is a new edition of what's new in the studio!
Wow, September kind of flew by! Now we are into fall colors and spooky season. But this just gives me an excuse to share new stuff in the studio!
Not another cable
While there are plenty of cables out there, there is nothing quite like the 240w Cable Belt Pro from Native Union.

In addition to the 240w of charging, it's nearly 8 ft long and comes with a recycled braided fabric housing.
It also has some clever additions like a notch near the heads of the cables to allow for more flex and an LED indicator when its plugged in.

Juiced up
I'll be the first to tell you I'm really not a fan of MagSafe battery packs because, while they are convenient in theory, they heat up as they charge and eventually stop charging your phone. But the IceMag from Sharge might change my opinion.

The IceMag has some great specs: 10000mAh capacity, 20w max charging and a semi-transparent design.

Where it differs from other battery packs is the active cooling fan. It allows for the battery pack to stay cool during extended use.

Hoping this will cure my aversion to MagSafe battery packs.
There's an app for that

I'm a huge fan of graphic design. So when I recently came across Michael Flarup's The iOS App Icon Book, I knew I had to get it.
Michael has done a fantastic job of capturing all sorts app icons from skeuomorphic design of the early apps to more minimal styles we have seen of late.

Definitely some iconic app icons I completely forgot about and what they looked like back in the day.
Tot(e)ally awesome
I'm more a of backpack type of guy. But I was intrigued when I saw the Arris Tote from Craighill.
I picked it up in their Goldenrod color. What I like about it is its over all minimal design with this padded texture for the outside.

On the inside its plenty spacious with some vertical pockets for things like a water bottle and a carry pocket for smaller things like a phone, wallet and keys.

I didn't think I would like it at first, or how much use I'd get out of it but it's grown on me and I keep it in the back of my trunk for when I need to haul things.
